RNIB Scotland (Royal National Institute for the Blind)
The RNIBs Need To Talk team helps blind and partially sighted adults and young people (age 11 and older) and those who support someone with sight loss. The Need to Talk team can be contacted on 0303 123 9999.

VINCYP aims to improve the care for children and young people with a visual impairment. The network includes parents/carers of children and young people, professionals working in health, education and social work and voluntary sector organisations.

Being registered sight impaired or severely sight impaired as an adult
In Scotland, the Certificate of Vision Impairment certifies someone as 'sight impaired' or 'severely sight impaired'. Being registered means that you will be added to your local authority's register of sight impaired or severely sight impaired people. Registering as sight impaired or severely sight impaired gives access to certain benefits and concessions.

Sensory Services Support in Falkirk (VI habilitation officer)
The Sensory Services Social Work Team can offer services to meet your assessed needs, working closely with NHS Forth Valley opthamology staff, as well as the Social Work locality teams.
